She Who Wears The Crown!

I have had lots of card making mo-jo this weekend; yay for me! Here is an easel-style card I have made using a Princess theme with blue and green tones. My stamp is "Princess Anya" from The Greeting Farm and I have coloured her with copics and added some sparkly glitter to her crown and star wand. My gorgeous 'bud and bow' ribbon and small bow are from Hooked On Craft. The small bow and all the flowers have all been spritzed with Glimmer Mist (of course!). I love the two-toned effect I got on some of the flowers. To get these colours I used Glimmer Mist in 'honey dew mist', 'pop rocks', 'fully purple' and 'spring rain'. I cut the crown (on the base of my easel card) out on my Cricut using 'once upon a princess' cartridge and added glitter and bling.

Let me know what you think!

Pretty Little Dee Dee In Pink!

Here is a Birthday card I have made using a gorgeous little lady named "Dee Dee" from The Greeting Farm. I have coloured her with copics and added glossy accents to highlight her bows, boots and part of her clothing. This is my first attempt at colouring darker skin with copics and although I am not completely happy with my colouring I still think she is pretty darn cute! My tag was cut out on my Cricut using 'tags, bags, boxes and more' cartridge and my embossed sentiment is a stamp from Hooked On Craft. My flowers are all from Hooked On Craft also and I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist in 'black cherry', 'strawberry shortcake', 'black magic', and 'dazzling diamonds', and I added a touch of Stickles. I love Hooked On Craft's teeny tiny little flowers (on my tag); I have never seen flowers so small and they are perfect for little areas that need a little something!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Only one more sleep till the Easter bunny comes and I can't wait to eat lots of chocolate! Here is an Easter card I have made using a long-neglected stamp designed by Tina Wenke from Stampavie called "Easter Parade". I bought this stamp years ago but never got around to using it so I was determined to ink it up this year. I have coloured it with copics and added some glossy accents. My flowers and leaves are from Hooked On Craft and they were actually white but I used Glimmer Mist (*sigh*, how I love Glimmer Mist!) in 'cherub pink', 'pop rocks', 'key lime pie', and 'dazling diamonds'. My cute doylies are also from Hooked On Craft. From my background panel shapes I have used Spellbinders 'beaded circles' and 'beaded ovals'.

Spring Puppy!

Here is a card I have made featuring a sweet puppy and lots of ladybugs! My puppy stamp is from Hooked On Craft and he can be found here. The big colourful butterfly is also from Hooked On Craft. I have coloured them with copics and added some glossy accents. My flowers and leaves (all from Hooked On Craft) started off as white and I spritz them with Glimmer Mist so I could get the exact shades of colour I wanted. Ahhh, glimmer mist; I just can't live without you! I punched out the fence with a Martha Stewart fence punch. I just love the quality of Martha's punches. They are more expensive than other punches but they are well worth the money. I have also added pretty pink butterflys and a sweet little ladypug trinket pin from Hooked On Craft too.

Blonde and Blue For Karen!

Here is a card I have made for my friend Karen for her Birthday on Sunday. She loves blue so I have done a blue theme with a bit of brown for contrast. My very sweet stamp is from the "Miss Anya Collection" by The Greeting Farm; isn't she so pretty and sweet? I have coloured her with copics and added some glossy accents (glossy accents is yet another craft item I am obsessed with!). I have used glitter core-dinations paper in the background and embossed it with my cuttlebug. I love core-dinations paper, and their glitter paper is so sparkly! I have embossed my sentiment with Zing embossing powder in Copper glitter finish. My flowers and leaves are from Hooked on Craft and I could not resist spritzing them with a dash of Glimmer Mist (yes I am still obsessed with Glimmer Mist!) in bubbles, peacock, bronze, and dazzling diamonds. My leaves were originally white but I made them two-toned by giving them a spray of Glimmer Mist as well. The paper I used behind my Anya stamp is.....yes, you guessed it, glimmer misted too! I also added a touch of Stickles to my flowers in cinnamon, copper, waterfall and crystal for added sparkle!

Happy Birthday Karen!

Julia The Purple Ballerina!

I have made this card for my friend Julia becuase it is her birthday today! Happy birthday Julia!
My stamp is one from a range of stamps called La-La Land Crafts that I discovered last weekend when I went to a craft show. When I saw them I knew I was going to have to buy heaps of them and by the time I left the craft show I had accidently purchased 6 of them! This sweet little ballerina is called 'Marci Ballerina' and she is just gorgeous. I coloured her with copics and added a row of little pearls in her hair. My friend has lovely long black hair and her favourite colour is purple so I tried to colour the stamp to look like her. My flowers are spritzed with Glimmer Mist in 'timeless lilac', 'creme de rouge' and 'spring rain' (yes, I am obsessed with glimmer mist too and I am too scared to count exactly how many I have purchased....). I also used lace, ribbon, pearls, bling and gorgeous deep purple glitter paper.

Let me know what you think!

Mmmmmm....Milkshake!

Here is an easel-style card I have made using pink, grey and black tones. I could not resist using my favourite things on this card; glitter, glimmer mist and glossy accents! My stamp is an adorable bear drinking a milkshake from Hooked on Craft; isn't he so cute? I think he is really enjoying that delicious looking sugary treat! Mmmmmmm yummo! I have coloured him with copics and added glitter and glossy accents. My flowers and leaves all started off as white but I spritz them with glimmer mist in 'viva pink', 'black magic', 'hot chocolate', and 'bronze' (except for the black flowers but I spritz them too!) . I think I am obsessed with glimmer mist and I seem to be 'accidently' purchasing more and more colours. But you can never have enough, right? My doilie, lace and flower ribbons, leaves and flowers are also from Hooked on Craft. In the background I have used some core-dinations paper and I embossed it with my cuttlebug and lightly sanded it back to reveal the light pink colour underneath.

Let me know what you think! I love reading everyones comments.
